Spinal Tap for jam band fans!

Les Claypool is a staple of the jam band scene. So who better to produce "National Lampoon presents Electric Apricot: Quest for Festeroo"? This should do for the jam band scene what "This Is Spinal Tap" did for British heavy metal. (But what's with all the Burning Man references? That's a whole different scene...)

See the promotional trailer here.

And if you look closely, you can see scenes filmed at our beloved High Sierra Music Festival in Quincy, CA. Speaking of which, tickets just went on sale for that event, which will be held July 3-6, 2008. No names announced yet, but the names aren't why we go, right? And THAT is why the jam band scene is STILL cool in ways that metal is not. And never really was...

HSMF forever.

Taarka candle lit 2am sessions on the lawn. Karl Denson rocking the music hall until the sun comes up over the steaming piles of clear-cut logs! Tortilla fight for Leftover Salmon!

Ah, the tortilla fight. Saw Denson with Albino at GAMH a few weeks ago. Fantastic, even sans tortillas...

You have a tape of the London Zep show?? Is it a good one? Would LOVE to hear that!

I do. It's a .rar file that I haven't opened. I'll upload it to mediafire and post the link as a comment. Shouldn't take too long. It's 219 mb's.

My friend listened to it and said it was pretty good.

Uploading now. :)

Alrighty...

I normally use sendspace or mediafire to transfer files like this but this one is over their limit. So....

megaupload is what I used and it's a major pain in the arse.

It will work... so give it a shot. un-.rar and you're listening to LZ.

Enjoy

Hmmm...do I have to sign up for this thing and download the software and all that? And pay for it?

Not at all.. just type in the code... it'll give you the option to pay to get faster downloads etc but just wait...it'll count down 45 seconds and then you'll see it say 'free download' and you click on that and it'll fire up.

Megaupload sucks but it lets you transfer big files.

OR... I can burn and give to you next time I see you.
